To be able to include all the correct conventions applied to a magazine front cover such as sell lines and the masthead, I needed to know where everything is going to go so it looks professional and neat so I created a very simple mock version of my front cover so that when it comes to it I know that everything I want to include will fit perfectly.
I have chosen to place my masthead at the top of my magazine becuase mixmag and kerrang have their mastheads across the top of the whole magazine which means this is a common convention which I should follow to create a succssful magazine.
I have chosen to place the anchorage text, which will be the name of the artist, across the middle of the magazine becuase Mixmag does this and mixmag is the only other magazine that has a similar genre. However, not all magazine do this for example Vibe magazine, which is a R&B magaxine, has the name of the artist on the front cover either on the side of the picture of below it.
